Martina & Luca
Martina and Luca got married on a hot July day in the hills of Brisighella. The morning began among vines and old stone walls: the dress hanging against the farmhouse, the last touches of make-up by the window, a few quiet moments before leaving.
The ceremony took place at the Pieve del Thò, a Romanesque church more than a thousand years old, where the veil ran the length of the nave and the rings were exchanged between laughs. Outside, a silver Alfa Romeo Spider was waiting to carry them to Borgo Fregnano.
There, a long table waited for them under the ivy, dressed in dusty pink and terracotta, with orange anthuriums and calla lilies. There was a champagne tower, a toast in the golden light and speeches by the candles. As the light faded, dinner went on by candlelight, late into the night.
I photographed the day in digital and on film.
