Davide and Yulia got married on 1 May in the heart of Bologna, in an intimate city wedding. Before the ceremony we wandered through the old centre together: under the porticoes with their painted vaults and along the cobbled streets below the towers, Yulia in a white dress with soft puffed sleeves.
They married in the Sala Rossa of Palazzo d'Accursio, the city hall, among red damask walls and crystal chandeliers, then stepped out onto the balcony above Piazza Maggiore with their arms in the air.
Afterwards we drove up to Villa Spada, on the first hill just outside the city walls, for portraits in its terraced Italian garden, among box hedges, cypresses and stone balustrades.
