Anastasia & Johannes
Anastasia and Johannes got married on 9 September in Fratta Todina, a small medieval village near Todi, in the green heart of Umbria. The morning was full of soft light: a bouquet of peach and white roses, long satin gloves and a jewelled comb in Anastasia's hair, and a kiss from her father before leaving.
Her father walked her through the narrow lanes of the old village to the town hall, where they married in a stone hall under old wooden beams, with a harp playing as they exchanged rings. Afterwards they walked out together with their guests, between stone walls, flowerpots and steep little stairways.
The celebration continued at an agriturismo in the hills nearby: a champagne tower, portraits on the lawn in the golden September light, a dance under the portico and dinner at tables dressed in pastel flowers, while the infinity pool glowed above the Tiber valley at dusk.
